Iron & Reins
Iron & Reins combines the freedom of the open road with the healing power of horses, offering a unique experience for men and women to build connection, explore self-awareness, and discover a different kind of horsepower.
Where Iron Horse Meets Quarter Horse
Iron & Reins brings together the freedom of the open road and the healing power of horses for a one-of-a-kind experience designed to inspire connection, self-awareness, and personal growth. This unique collaboration brings together Thea Shoemaker of Chicks That Ride, representing the motorcycle community, and Kimberlee Countryman of Stable Soul Retreats, representing the equine-assisted healing experience. Together, they create gatherings that combine the camaraderie of a motorcycle ride with an interactive, ground-based workshop with horses, offering an opportunity to connect with others, step outside your comfort zone, and discover a different kind of horsepower.
The Ride & Meetup
Led by Thea Shoemaker of Chicks That Ride, each experience begins with a motorcycle ride and meetup, giving participants the chance to enjoy the open road, share their passion for riding, and connect with like-minded people. Ride routes and meetup locations will vary with each scheduled date, making every gathering a new adventure.
The Equine-Assisted Healing Workshop
Facilitated by Kimberlee Countryman of Stable Soul Retreats, the equine-assisted healing experience takes place in Agoura Hills, California. Through guided, ground-based activities with horses, participants will explore themes such as trust, boundaries, communication, confidence, emotional awareness, and connection. Horses respond to our body language and behavior in ways that can offer valuable insight into how we show up in our everyday lives. No horseback riding or previous horse experience is required.
Every Gathering Includes
A motorcycle ride and community meetup led by Thea Shoemaker of Chicks That Ride
A themed, equine-assisted healing workshop facilitated by Kimberlee Countryman of Stable Soul Retreats
A private-chef-prepared lunch provided by Chef Connor Bruno to enjoy together afterward
A curated goodie bag to take home
Each gathering will feature a different workshop theme and a unique experience. Some events will welcome both men and women, while others will be designed specifically for women or exclusively for men, creating space for meaningful conversations and connections within each group.
Explore the schedule below to discover upcoming dates, themes, and experiences, and find the gathering that speaks to you. While the motorcycle ride and meetup locations will change with each event, the equine-assisted healing workshop will always take place in Agoura Hills, California.
